The Los Angeles Angels' bullpen has spiraled downward with 25 earned runs, 30 hits and 14 walks given up over their last six games.
From numerous blown leads, performance issues, poor MLB rankings and the release of Jordan Romano, the Angels pen has gone into a collapse.
The bullpen woes are nothing new, as issues have stemmed from 2025.
Romano was once a dominant closer but has struggled to make ends meet, forcing the Angels to cut ties with the former Toronto Blue Jays reliever. The Blue Jays bullpen has also unraveled struggles with Jeff Hoffman removed from the closer role.

That's a 10.55 ERA -- and four blown saves.
The Angels bullpen continues to be one of the worst in MLB.
The Angels blew leads in back-to-back games on April 26 and 27. Against the Kansas City Royals, they blew a 6-0 lead, and the following day, they blew a 5-1 lead against the Chicago White Sox.
Nick Sandlin's alarmingly high ERA of 14.29 across five games has contributed to the Angels' bullpen woes.
In addition, their January trade Brock Burke has backfired. L.A. sent Burke to the Cincinnati Reds, and he owns a 0.68 ERA, while the Angels' bullpen continues to lack depth and reliable arms.
The Reds have been 7-3 in their last 10 games, whereas the Angels have been 2-8. The Angels' inability to acquire dependable late-inning relievers has been a significant concern for the team. Their bullpen ERA (5.38) ranks 28th in MLB, showcasing its collapse this season.
