The New York Yankees are coming off a great run against the Kansas City Royals. The swept the Royals in a three-game set as their pursuit for the top spot in the AL East continues. The Yanks are now right behind the Tampa Bay Rays, waiting to take the top spot.

Despite their strong offense and incredible starting rotation, they still have plenty of holes to fill . The bullpen has room for improvement, but pitchers like Gerrit Cole have certainly given them a boost. Unfortunately, they are still waiting for Max Fried to return.

As of May 28, the Yankees will not be playing since they are traveling to Sutter Health Park to play the Oakland Athletics. The Yanks will have a day’s rest while they open the series against the A’s on Friday, May 29.
