As the Houston Astros were closing out their ALCS Game 2 victory over the New York Yankees on Thursday night, a fan ran out onto the field to greet Astros second baseman Jose Altuve. Instead of ignoring, or even assisting security in stopping the violator, Altuve decided to play nice with the fan.
In the ninth a fan ran on the field to get up a close&personal with Jose Altuve before being handcuffed & led off: “He keeps saying we need to win..I said we will.We were about to take a selfie but then security got their & did their job-I was going to. It was a little too late” pic.twitter.com/gfwsh6BNPo

The NFL seems to be experiencing an October surge in fans storming onto the field. Early in the month, eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker Bobby Wagner took matters into his own hands when he slammed down a fan who went onto the playing surface with a pink flare.
During the Week 5 contest between the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a 10-year-old boy sprinted onto the turf as the Bucs were lining up for an extra point attempt. Prior to the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles "Sunday Night Football" contest in Week 6, an Eagles fanatic made his way to the player's tunnel and joined the squad as they burst out onto the field.
The Astros now lead the best-of-seven ALCS 2-0. Game 3 will take place at 5:07 p.m. ET on Saturday at Yankee Stadium.
