The Houston Astros are dealing with some injuries as they play their three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Therefore, it has forced them to make adjustments. The team has announced some roster moves as they prepare to close out their series with the Pirates.

Lamonte Wade Jr. and Collin Price are the notable additions, as the team attempts to add some depth to a roster that has been plagued by injuries. Currently, Jose Altuve, Yainer Diaz, and Joey Loperfido are among the starting position players out with an injury. Hunter Brown and Cristian Javier are also out with serious injuries.

The injuries have left the Astros 28-35. Because of this, there are many trade rumors about the Astros’ top players, and the question of whether this team could sell. For now, they will continue to focus on improving, starting with their finale against the Pirates.

The addition of Wade gives them someone who has plenty of experience and can play first base and outfield. Despite their record, the Astros are very much alive in the AL West. Currently, they trail the Seattle Mariners by five games. Although they have struggled, they showed last season that a good run could propel them to the top.

Following the series with the Pirates, the Astros will host the Athletics. Then, they will head to Anaheim to face the Angels for three games before facing the Kansas City Royals on the road for three games. If they can gain some momentum in these next few weeks, it could change the outlook of their season.
