It has been a disappointing season for the Baltimore Orioles. Their play over the last week could signal the team is finally turning a corner and finding their footing though. The Orioles defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-3 earlier today for their sixth consecutive win. Baltimore has outscored their opponent 21-12 over their six-game winning streak. They swept the Chicago White Sox before heading on the road to take all three games against the Seattle Mariners. Can the Baltimore Orioles salvage a disappointing start to the regular season?

Baltimore Orioles Season Summary

Baltimore entered the season with lofty expectations following back-to-back trips to the MLB Playoffs. Instead, the Orioles started so badly, they fired Manager Brandon Hyde. Baltimore is in last place in the American League East at 25-36. The Orioles have struggled at the plate. They are 22nd in batting average, 12th in home runs, and 25th in runs scored. Designated Hitter Ryan O’Hearn is sixth in the league in batting average, sixth in On Base Percentage, and ninth in OPS.

Baltimore’s pitching staff has been ever worse in 2025. They are 28th in ERA , 27th in WHIP, and 27th in opposing batting average. Starting Pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano leads the ballclub in wins(5) and ERA(3.04).

Final Thoughts

The Baltimore Orioles will look for their seventh straight win tomorrow when they begin a three-game set against the Athletics. Baltimore has a talented roster. If they can continue playing up to their potential in 2025, they could save the regular season.
