Braves' Matt Olson Makes Announcement on Tuesday

The Atlanta Braves are retooling the roster for the 2026 season, aiming for a quick rebound and a return to playoff contention. New manager Walt Weiss, who replaced Brian Snitker, inherits a strong core, and one of the most reliable pieces he can plug straight into the lineup is Matt Olson.

The 31-year-old first baseman just completed his fourth season with Atlanta and delivered another impressive campaign. Olson played 162 games for the fourth consecutive year.

His heavy workload has not slowed him down, as he continues to set the standard for defensive play at first base. According to Statcast’s Baseball Savant, Olson led all first basemen in Fielding Run Value with 8, a mark that earned him a Gold Glove Award in 2025.

At the plate, Olson remained a steady force, posting a .272 batting average, .366 on-base percentage, .850 OPS, 29 home runs and 95 RBIs. He also collected 41 doubles, the most in the National League.

“Giving Tuesday is here, and Reece’s vision is leading the way. Help us continue our mission to support families impacted by autism by donating today. Thanks to a generous matching gift, every dollar you give — up to $35,000 — is doubled!” the caption read. Olson also shared the post on his Instagram story, providing a link for supporters to donate.

Olson’s commitment underscores that his impact stretches far beyond the diamond. By lending his platform and resources, he ensures that ReClif’s mission continues to grow.
