There had been murmurs about Ronald Acuña Jr. returning from the IL this week, but some suggested it might not happen until the Braves returned home, pointing out the turf in Miami could deter the club from activating him against the Marlins.

In a corresponding move, Kyle Farmer was placed on the 10-day IL with a strained right forearm, backdated to May 16.

Ronald Acuña Jr. was not part of the Braves lineup card submitted a couple of hours ago, so we’ll see what the plan is for him moving forward. Regardless, the Braves got a helluva lot better today.
