The Atlanta Braves are off to an outstanding start this season, holding the best record in baseball at 34-16. Much of their success has come from the heart of their lineup, including second baseman Ozzie Albies.

The veteran infielder has gotten off to a strong start, improving across nearly every offensive category while posting a .276 batting average, .332 on-base percentage, and .774 OPS with eight home runs and 27 RBIs through 50 games.

The 29-year-old has continued to establish himself as a key offensive catalyst, providing consistent power production while showing impressive plate discipline and reliability from both sides of the plate.

Albies has elevated his game this season and recently gave fans a closer look at his life away from baseball. In a recent Instagram collaboration with interviewer and storyteller Jay Pernell, Albies participated in a “day in the life” video that highlighted what it is like to be an MLB All-Star.

The video showcased parts of Albies’ personal life, including his aquarium filled with exotic fish, his car collection, and his foundation dedicated to helping dogs find homes.

Pernell described the experience with a caption that shows the behind-the-scenes look at the preparation and mindset required to compete at the highest level of baseball.

The feature also gave Braves fans more insight into Albies’ personality and the passions he enjoys outside of baseball. Entering his 10th season with Atlanta, Albies has become one of the franchise’s most accomplished players after signing with the Braves as an international free agent in 2013.

Since then, he has earned three All-Star selections, won two Silver Slugger Awards, and helped lead the organization to a World Series title in 2021. The veteran infielder has continued to be a key piece of Atlanta’s success both offensively and defensively throughout his career.

Albies is currently playing on a nine-year, $45 million contract with the Braves, which includes a $7 million salary for the 2026 MLB season.
