Braves Updated Odds For #1 Draft Pick In 2026

The Braves are playing by far their best baseball of the season, winning 11 out of their last 14 games. It’s most likely too little too late, but there are a number of positive storylines building towards 2026.

Atlanta’s bats have finally woken up, and they are doing it without one of their best players in Austin Riley, who could miss the rest of the season with a sports hernia . Michael Harris II has gone from the worst offensive player in the sport to looking like an MVP candidate, and the return of Jurickson Profar has been a massive boost.

The pitching has been a little shakier due to injuries, but the Braves are getting some u nexpected contributions from Hurston Waldrep and Joey Wentz. Both of whom are making a case for the Opening Day roster in 2026.

If you squint hard enough, a light at the end of the tunnel emerges. The Braves streak of seven straight postseason appearances is likely to end this year, but the problems with this roster at least seem fixable now. Plus, the club is still in line to pick near the top of the 2026 MLB Draft, providing a boost to a farm system that could desperately use some more talent.

Even after winning 11 of their last 14 games, the Braves currently have the fourth-best odds at winning the MLB Draft Lottery, sitting at 11.5%. It’s possible those odds get even better too, as Atlanta sits just 0.5 games ahead of Oakland in the standings.

Regardless, it’s looking increasingly likely that the Braves will be picking inside the top 10 picks in next year’s draft, an unfamiliar spot for the organization. Hopefully, it’s the first and last time these conversations are being had, but it at least provides an opportunity for the club to bring in a top talent that could contribute in the near future.
