The Milwaukee Brewers were dominant all season, but they saved their best for last.
The Brewers closed out the regular season with their best monthly record, going 18-6 in September to clinch the best record in baseball. That included a 15-3 stretch to end the regular season.
Their momentum carried over into October, where Milwaukee went 11-2 en route to their first World Series title in franchise history. That means they went 26-5 over their final 31 games of 2026.
The Brewers' pitching was lights-out during this stretch. Over their final 15 games, they allowed fewer than five runs and fewer than 10 hits while striking out at least five batters in every game. According to OptaSTATS, that's the longest streak by any team at any point in a season in MLB history.
Milwaukee's offense was relentless, too, but its run prevention and ability to shut down opposing lineups were simply on another level.
