The Milwaukee Brewers can’t afford to lose another game in the 2025 National League Championship Series. Otherwise, they will be packing their bags for a vacation, as they are down 3-0 in the NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Brewers dropped Game 3 of the series on Thursday in Los Angeles, with rookie flamethrower Jacob Misiorowski stepping in for Aaron Ashby, who opened the game for Milwaukee, in the first inning.
Misiorowski was having an incredible performance on the mound until he allowed a run to Tommy Edman in the sixth inning, which broke a 1-1 tie. Misiorowski picked up the pitching loss, but not before striking out a total of nine Dodgers hitters and allowing just three hits and a walk in five innings of work.
Misiorowski now has a total of 16 strikeouts in the 2025 MLB postseason after his appearance in Game 3. With that, he’s now tied for third in franchise history for the most strikeouts in a single postseason, according to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Jacob Misiorowski's 16 strikeouts are tied for the third-most in a single postseason in Brewers franchise history alongside Yovani Gallardo in 2011 and Josh Hader in 2018.

Although he put on an impressive showing on the mound, Misiorowski can’t be happy with the result of the contest, as the Dodgers came away with a 3-1 win.
“My five innings of work that I got were what I was asked to do. It was positive on that end,” Misiorowski said, per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. “But just not the outcome that we wanted.”
In three relief appearances so far in the 2025 MLB postseason, Misiorowski has allowed just two earned runs across 12.0 innings of action.
Given his workload on Thursday, it’s unlikely Misiorowski will be on the mound at any point in Game 4 this Friday, but a win for Milwaukee in that contest could pave the way for him to set a new single postseason strikeout record for the Brewers.
