Brewers' Kyle Harrison Reveals Encouraging Injury Update

Milwaukee Brewers' starting pitcher Kyle Harrison announced an encouraging update following his precautionary MRI.

Harrison has been out for the Brewers and on the 15-day injured list since July 11 with left forearm tightness. He was pulled early from a start against the St. Louis Cardinals earlier this month prior to the injured list stint.

The 24-year-old has become an integral part of the Brewers' starting rotation in his breakout season after being traded from Boston this offseason.

Through 17 starts, Harrison is posting a 3.01 ERA with 101 strikeouts in 83 2/3 innings pitched.

The young left-handed revealed on Sunday that his MRI came back "all good" and he was able to throw off the pitching mound on Saturday with no issues.

Harrison becomes eligible to be activated from the injured list on Friday, July 24. It has not yet been determined if he will have a minor league rehab assignment.

This becomes increasingly interesting following the devastating news that pitcher Brandon Woodruff will miss the remained of the 2026 season with a shoulder injury.

With Harrison feeling good and still having five days to rest before he is eligible to return, throwing him back into the rotation with no rehab assignment seems possible.

We will see how the breakout star progresses and when he will rejoin the major league roster this week.
