The Milwaukee Brewers busted out the props to troll the Chicago Cubs after their NLDS victory.

Milwaukee prevailed in Saturday’s winner-take-all Game 5 of the NLDS against Chicago by the final score of 3-1. The Brewers rode solo homers by William Contreras, Andrew Vaughn, and Brice Turang to clinch their first NLCS berth since 2018 (where they will now face the Los Angeles Dodgers in a best-of-seven series beginning Monday).

During their postgame celebrations at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisc., the Brewers even got in a funny troll job of the Cubs. As the Milwaukee players were posing on the field for group pictures, one Brewer brought out a white-and-blue “L” flag and began waving it around in the background.

Here is the video, per Lily Zhao of FOX6 News Milwaukee.

That was a reference to the flags that the Cubs famously fly around over Wrigley Field after their games. Following Cubs’ victories, they fly a “W” banner over Wrigley (spawning the rallying cry of “Fly the W!”), and following Cubs’ losses, an “L” banner flies instead.

This year’s NLDS series between the Brewers and the Cubs was personal, especially since it was the first time that the two teams had met in the postseason since manager Craig Counsell defected from Milwaukee to Chicago. There is also a strong historic rivalry between the two NL Central foes, and the Brewers already trolled the Cubs over their “W” and “L” flags in the past.
