The Los Angeles Angels are just a win away this Thursday from completing a sweep of the New York Yankees in the Bronx. The Halos have already won the four-game series outright following a 3-2 victory on Wednesday, which also featured a notable moment between two of the greatest stars of their generation.
In the sixth inning, Angels center Mike Trout made good contact on a 94 mph sinker pitch by New York starter Ryan Yarbrough. The ball just fell short of a home run, as it bounced off the wall in the right field.
Judge eventually got to the ball, as Trout raced to first base. Trout thought about getting to second base but decided not to test Judge's arm. The 11-time All-Star acknowledged Judge after his hit, as seen on a video posted on X by MLB.

Apart from being a machine with the bat, Judge, the reigning American League MVP, is also a solid outfielder with an elite arm.
According to Baseball Savant, the Yankees superstar is on the 86th percentile in the big leagues in terms of arm strength and on the 96th percentile of arm value.
Nevertheless, Trout and the Angels got the last laugh in the game. With the score tied at 2-2, Trout and Taylor had back-to-back walks in the eighth inning before Luis Rengifo got a free pass to load the bases for Los Angeles. J
Jo Adell then hit a grounder that Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe failed to field properly, resulting in a run scored by Trout to break the tie.
The Angels and the Yankees will meet one more time this Thursday, as Los Angeles looks to record their second sweep of the month.
