1. Brewers Heralded Prospect Jacob Misiorowski's MLB Debut 

Last week, the Cardinals saw Kansas City Royals' power hitter Jac Caglianone make his MLB debut. Thursday night, the Cardinals will facing one of the hardest throwing players in professional baseball. Jacob Misiorowski, the Brewers No. 4 prospect, consistently reaches triple digits with his fastball. The Cardinals, however, are no stranger to hard throwing righties. They are 4-0 all-time against Pittsburgh Pirates flamethrower Paul Skenes. 

2. When will the Cardinals Brendan Donovan return to the lineup? 

Donovan sat out Wednesday's game against the Jays with a toe injury. Following the 5-2 loss, MRI results confirmed a sprained capsule in the joint of Donovan's left big toe. However, the Cardinals leading hitter doesn't believe the injury will require a trip to the injured list. In 64 games, Donovan is hitting .310 with 77 hits and 26 RBIs. Nolan Gorman, who will likely play second base if Donovan misses any more time, has performed well in his last seven games, hitting .389 with two home runs and five RBIs. 

3. Staying on track in NL Central Race 

The Cardinals currently sit in second in the NL Central, with the Brewers just a half game back. The Redbirds will need at least a split in the four-game set to keep pace with the Cubs, otherwise they could fall to third, possibly even fourth in the divisional race.
