Santos, whose pitching prowess was once a highlight of the White Sox bullpen, is bringing his wealth of experience to a new managerial role after spending last season as the manager of the Double-A Birmingham Barons.
This latest chapter comes with high expectations and the promise of vigorous leadership to steer the Knights toward success. Those high expectations are due to the 72-66 record and a Southern League Championship that Santos and the Barons won last season. The Knights could be poised for a pretty good season with many familiar faces expected to be moving up in the system along with their former Double-A manager.
