Crow-Armstrong was the No. 19 overall pick by the New York Mets in the 2020 MLB Draft. He came to the Cubs in 2021 in a trade that sent Javier Baez to New York. PCW was the No. 1 prospect in Chicago’s system before debuting with the club in 2023. He was mediocre last year. He has taken his game up multiple notches in 2025.
Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs begins their second half of the season with a matinee against the red-hot Boston Red Sox . Even though the center fielder was named the midseason MVP, the betting markets believe that Los Angeles Dodgers Designated Hitter Shohei Ohtani will be named NL MVP at season’s end. The young star will look to lead the Cubs on a deep postseason run this fall.
