Cincinnati Reds Activate Veteran Pitcher from Bereavement List

The Cincinnati Reds activated left-handed reliever Brent Suter from the bereavement list on Friday. On Thursday, the Reds sent reliever Joe La Sorsa to Triple-A Louisville.

Suter has appeared in 21 games for Cincinnati this season and has an ERA of 2.27 and a WHIP of 0.98.

The left-hander has been a bright spot for the bullpen this season.

The Reds travel to Detroit to take on the Tigers for a three-game series starting on Friday night at 7:10 ET. Nick Martinez will start on the mound for the Reds.
