Louisville Bats pitcher Adam Plutko has been named the International League Pitcher of the Week for the week of September 2-7. Plutko tossed seven shutout innings for the Louisville Bats, with seven strikeouts.
On the season, the right-hander is 8-7 with a 4.25 ERA in 19 starts across 91 innings. The 33-year-old veteran pitched four seasons for Cleveland from 2016-2020 and last pitched for the Baltimore Orioles in 2021. He pitched in Korea from 2022 to 2023 and would go 26-8 with a 2.40 ERA in that time.
The Reds signed Plutko to a minor league deal back in April.
Reds manager Terry Francona managed the Guardians when Plutko was in Cleveland.
