The Cincinnati Reds have returned Wade Miley from his rehab assignment after he reported soreness after his start for Double-A Chattanooga on Friday night, according to Mike Petraglia.

The left-hander gave up one run on one hit over 1 2/3 innings in his start on Friday. He walked two and struck out two. He threw 20 of his 38 pitches for strikes.

Miley has appeared in three games for the Reds this season. He's 1-0 with a 6.75 ERA and seven strikeouts in 12 innings.

He was placed on the injured list with a left flexor strain in the middle of June.

The Reds are 64-60 and 1 1/2 games back of the third and final National League Wild Card spot.
