Texas Rangers player Corey Seager announced Sunday that he is expecting his first child with wife Mady Seager in a joint Instagram post.
"Our favorite chapter yet. Baby seags coming soon!!" said the couple, who have been married for five years.
The Seagers are high school sweethearts, and even dated into Corey's first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012. The distance proved difficult and the couple called it quits before reuniting a few years later and tying the knot in 2020.
The post has received a lot of attention from other MLB wives, such as Dodgers player Mookie Betts' wife Brianna Betts, and Chicago Cubs player Dansby Swanson's wife Mallory Swanson.
"Aww yay!!! Congratulations!!, said Brianna.
"Congrats yall!!, said Mallory.
Seager is a shortstop for the Texas Rangers, and has been with the team since 2022.
He suffered a sports hernia during the 2024 season and was sidelined, but has since returned for the 2025 season.
Between 2023 and 2024, Seager missed around 40 games due to his injury, but is now fully recovered.
Mady posted more updates to her Instagram story on Sunday after announcing the pregnancy with Corey.
"Never felt more at home in my own body. Thank you God for this gift", she said.
The announcement comes just days after Seager hit a home run last Wednesday night against the Seattle Mariners last Wednesday night, however the Mariners won 2-3.
The Texas Rangers will play again Monday night against the Kansas City Royals, with Seager likely still riding the high from his exciting announcement.
