Detroit Tigers Starting Pitcher Tarik Skubal has been impressive this season at home. His performance this season at Comerica Park has been nothing short of extraordinary. He is 8-0 this season at home with 90 strikeouts and 7 walks. He is the first pitcher in league history to have any 10-start span at home with that many wins and strikeouts but so few losses and walks.
Skubal has not just dominated at home this season. He is second in the league in wins, second in ERA, second in strikeouts, fifth in opposing batting average, and leading the league in WHIP. Will he continue pitching at such a high level?

Skubal debuted with the Detroit Tigers in 2020. He started showing flashes of the pitcher he would become during the 20223 season. He built on it with a 2024 season for the ages. He won the “pitching triple crown” and the AL Cy Young Award. The star lefty has followed up 2024 by pitching even better this season.
Skubal has one last start at home to close out the first half of the regular season. He will face the Seattle Mariners tonight. The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner has a great chance to start the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. Whether he does or not, he is the odds-on favorite to win another AL Cy Young.
