While Gabriel Moreno won’t be in the starting lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Arizona Diamondbacks have reinstated the Gold Glove catcher from the 10-day injured list.

Moreno has been out since August 5th with a groin injury. During his absence, the Diamondbacks have managed a 22-14 record. Prior to the injury, Moreno was hitting .262 and boasted one of the best caught-stealing percentages in baseball at 31%.

Although Moreno’s return provides a boost, the Diamondbacks are now dealing with another injury. Reliever Paul Sewald has been placed on the 15-day IL due to a neck injury. Sewald, who has posted a 4.31 ERA this season, has struggled recently, allowing at least one run in four of his last six appearances. So far in September, Sewald has only been used in blowout situations.

The Diamondbacks will look to salvage the series against the Brewers in Sunday’s finale, with ace Zac Gallen taking the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
