Dodgers Announce Roster Move Ahead of White Sox Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the teams dealing with the most injuries to their pitching staff in all of baseball. Whether it's the bullpen or the rotation, the Dodgers have been dealing with plenty of injuries.

Things got even worse ahead of the Chicago White Sox series, as the Dodgers announced that they have placed reliever Michael Kopech on the 10-day injured list with right knee inflammation, and recalled Will Klein.

Kopech joins five other relievers on the injured list for the Dodgers. Between the Dodgers' rotation and the bullpen, Kopech becomes the team's 12th pitcher on the injured list.

He heads there ahead of the White Sox series, and a rematch with his former team. Kopech had been in the middle of a strong season so far, but his activities for the Dodgers lasted only eight games.

But in those eight games, Kopech went seven innings and didn't allow a run. He struck out eight batters and walked four in his brief stint with the Dodgers' bullpen in 2025.

It's a tough loss for the Dodgers, as it's another strong reliever missing time. What makes it sting more for Los Angeles is that Kopech was once again in the midst of a strong year.

Meanwhile, Klein is back up with the Dodgers after a short stint in the minor leagues that didn't go well. But, in his two appearances with the Dodgers in 2025, he went 3.2 innings without allowing a run, striking out five, and walking one.

The move is another hit to the Dodgers' pitching staff. Whether it's the bullpen or the rotation, the Dodgers can't catch a break when it comes to injuries. Kopech is now out for a little while, and Klein is taking his spot for the first-place Dodgers.
