The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading into the 2026 MLB season with a familiar core, aiming to capture a third consecutive World Series title. At the center of that push is fan favorite Max Muncy, who will be entering his ninth season with the club.

The 35‑year‑old veteran has solidified third base for Los Angeles, standing as one of the organization’s most successful reclamation projects.

After debuting with the Oakland Athletics in 2015 and struggling to find his footing, Muncy revived his career with the Dodgers and became a key part of their sustained success.

Along the way, he has earned two All‑Star selections and established himself as a steady presence in the lineup.

Off the field, Muncy recently shared a personal update, giving fans a glimpse into his growing family as he gears up for another season in Dodger blue.

On Wednesday, in a joint Instagram post with his wife Kellie, the couple announced the arrival of their baby girl. “Macie Grace our hearts and hands have never been more full, welcome to the world baby girl ,” they wrote.

The newest addition makes three children for the family, joining daughter Sophie Kate, born in July 2021, and son Wyatt James, born in April 2023.

The announcement reflected not only their excitement but also the deep sense of gratitude the family feels as they continue to share milestones with the Dodgers community.

The joy of welcoming a new child adds another layer of perspective for Muncy as he prepares for the grind of a new season. In 2026, he will look to stay fully healthy, as his bat has proven to remain a key weapon when he is on the field.

Last year, Muncy endured three separate stints on the injured list, dealing with a left knee bone bruise, a right oblique strain and a minor wrist issue.

Despite those setbacks, the left‑handed slugger still produced a .243 batting average, .376 on‑base percentage, .846 OPS, 19 home runs and 67 RBIs across 100 appearances.

He is under contract with Los Angeles through the 2026 season after the team exercised his $10 million club option in November. As the Dodgers chase a historic three‑peat, Muncy’s veteran presence and resilient bat will remain central to their championship ambitions.
