Hyeseong Kim and Blake Snell were present at BMO Stadium for the Los Angeles Football Club’s (LAFC) 4-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Sunday, just hours after the Los Angeles Dodgers played their final home game of the regular season.

Kim and Snell posed for a photo with LAFC star Son Heung-Min before the soccer match, and later received an ovation from the fans in attendance when they were shown on the video board.

Heung-Min scored what held as the game-winning goal at the 45-minute mark, which was his sixth in seven matches since joining the club.

LAFC made a splash last month when they acquired Heung-Min from Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League for a record-breaking transfer fee of reportedly $26 million.

Heung-Min’s arrival to Los Angeles has been met with plenty of fanfare as the Dodgers hosted him at Dodger Stadium at the end of August.

Heung-Min exchanged jerseys with Freddie Freeman on the field before throwing out the ceremonial first pitch to Snell. The team also played a video montage welcoming Heung-Min to Los Angeles.

A native of Chuncheon, South Korea, Heung-Min is one of the most talented and popular Asian players in soccer history. He is among the country’s all-time leading scorers and has appeared in three World Cups throughout his illustrious career.

Kim, a fellow South Korea native, welcomed Heung-Min in a video message shared by the Dodgers at the time of his signing.

“First, I want to congratulate you for joining LAFC,” Kim said in the video. “I love soccer, so I’m a huge fan of yours, but you know that we’re both playing in Los Angeles is an honor, and it makes me happy. I will continue to root for your success in L.A.”
