The Maine Mariners are bringing back defenseman Nick Anderson, as he’s signed an ECHL contract for the 2026-27 season. The game seven hero is their first player signing of the season. In 32 games for Maine last season, he had 15 points on four goals and 11 assists. He was a minus-two with two power-play goals and two game-winning goals. He also appeared in six games for the Orlando Solar Bears, where he had an assist and was a minus-three. Anderson in the playoffs had three points on a goal and two assists. He was a plus-six; the lone goal was a game-winner in game-seven against Adirondack in the first round.

Anderson spent four seasons at Colgate University, appearing in 132 games, recording 77 points on eight goals and 69 assists; he was a plus-nine. He then transferred to UMass-Lowell for his final season, where in 35 games he had 14 points on two goals and 12 assists; he was a minus-one. He then joined the Solar Bears, appearing in just one game where he was held pointless. In 39 career ECHL games, he has 16 points on four goals and 12 assists. He’s a minus-five with two power-play goals and two game-winning goals.
