Three Diamondbacks players have earned spots on ESPN’s updated in-season top 50 MLB player rankings. Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte, and Geraldo Perdomo were all mentioned as ESPN highlighted their significant contributions this season. This recognition spotlights the growing talent within the D-Backs roster and their impact on the league. Where did the D-Backs stars end up, and what was emphasized about their 2025 season?

Corbin Carroll was ranked 18th in the top 50, as was featured as being one of the most dynamic outfielders in the MLB. Known for his high on-base percentage and aggressive baserunning, including having 14 triples on the season, Carroll continues to be a catalyst for the D-Backs lineup. His consistent performance at the plate and in the field demonstrates why he’s emerging as one of baseball’s brightest young stars.

Ketel Marte was two spots behind Carroll, coming in at 20th on the list.  ESPN admitted Marte has been underrated and once again has proven himself as a versatile and reliable force for Arizona. With strong offensive numbers, including a solid batting average and timely extra-base hits, Marte’s ability to contribute both at the plate makes him a valuable asset recognized at the national level, as ESPN highlighted that Marte is now third on the D-Backs’ career WAR leaderboard.

Shortstop Geraldo Perdomo rounds out the trio, ranking 44th in the top 50. Perdomo has impressive defensive skills and promising offensive upside. Making the top 50 MLB player’s list is a testament to Perdomo’s hard work and the bright future ahead, as the jump Perdomo has made from prospect to having a breakout season has been noticed, alongside the recognition that he could be a perennial all-star in the future.
