It would appear former New York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier still has some negative feelings toward the organization that gave him his first shot in the big leagues.
Frazier has taken numerous swipes at the Yankees since he was released by the team following the 2021 season. Manager Aaron Boone was the latest to find himself in Frazier’s crosshairs.
Boone was one of many people from the sports and celebrity worlds who attended Monday night’s football game between North Carolina and TCU at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Frazier felt Boone had no business being there.
Frazier shared a video of Boone at the UNC-TCU game and mocked the Yankees manager.
“biggest (sic) two week stretch of the season and this dude is at a football game with his hoodie tied around his waist,” Frazier wrote on X.

The Yankees are in an intense playoff race, but they did not have a game on Monday. They lost to the Chicago White Sox on Sunday but took three out of four on the road in the series. Their next scheduled series is against the Astros in Houston and begins on Tuesday, so Boone decided to attend Belichick’s college football debut on his off day.
Frazier obviously feels that Boone should not be taking any days off. The Yankees are tied with the Boston Red Sox for second place in the AL East. Both teams are 2.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays and tied for the lead in the AL wild-card race.
While Frazier is correct that the Yankees are entering a crucial two-week stretch of their season, it’s hard to imagine the manager attending a football game on his day off having a negative impact on the team.
Frazier was with the Yankees organization from 2016 to 2021 after they acquired him in the Andrew Miller trade. The 30-year-old always seemed like a bad fit with the team and had issues with their organizational rules. Frazier has openly bashed the Yankees since his departure.
Frazier, a career .235 hitter, has not played in the majors since he was with the White Sox in 2023.
