It hasn’t been an easy start to the season for baseball fans in New York. While the New York Yankees supporters got heat over their classless act against Juan Soto, the New York Mets, where Soto plays now, are seeing their team win game after game.
After jumping out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a Francisco Lindor homer, the Mets couldn’t end their losing streak. Devin Williams collapsed in the ninth inning, facing five batters and giving up two runs without a single out when the score was tied 3-3.
The situation took a toll on fans, and they didn’t find a better way to express their frustration than fighting. A clip shared on Instagram showed the New York Police Department removing a fan from Citi Field after a fight broke out.
According to the New York Post, the fan grabbed a woman in the row in front of him. Police arrested him after igniting a massive brawl. At least six cops responded to the situation.
The Mets lost their 12th consecutive game on Tuesday. They dropped to 7-16 with last night’s result. If that wasn’t enough, the Twins’ X account trolled them after the game.
New York is a tense place right now if you are a Mets fan.
