Former New York Mets relief pitcher Pedro Feliciano passed away in his sleep at the age of 45. The news was first reported by ESPN's Eduardo Perez.

Feliciano spent his entire Major League Baseball career pitching for the Mets, making 484 appearances in the regular season. He registered a 22-21 record and four saves over 383.2 innings with a 3.33 ERA and 350 strikeouts.
Per CBS Sports, Feliciano finished his career with the second-most appearances in Mets history behind fellow left-handed reliever John Franco, who took the mound 695 times.
The Mets released a statement after news broke of Feliciano's passing.
