Former MLB second baseman Mark Grudzielanek under investigation for alleged child abuse

Former Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Mark Grudzielanek is under police investigation for alleged child abuse.

According to police documents obtained by TMZ Sports, police are looking into allegations involving a 12-year-old boy said to have occurred in Scottsdale, Arizona, on March 26.

The allegations stem from a physical altercation, sources close to the situation told TMZ Sports.

Grudzielanek spent 15 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1995-2010. He began his career with the Montreal Expos after being selected by the club in the 11th round of the draft.

The Milwaukee native was named an All-Star in 1996 and won a Gold Glove in 2006 as a member of the Kansas City Royals.

In addition to the Dodgers, Expos and Royals, Grudzielanek also spent time with the Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals.
