Former Tennessee Vols LHP Garrett Crochet went viral on Saturday after he led the Boston Red Sox to a 4-2 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Crochet, who is in his first season with Boston, gave up two earned runs while striking out 10 in six innings against Los Angeles.
The two runs that Crochet gave up were the result of first inning solo home runs from outfielder Teoscar Hernandez and DH Shohei Ohtani.
While speaking with reporters after the game, Crochet pointed out that Fox, which broadcast the game nationally, had been showing the Dodgers' home runs on repeat.
"I made two bad pitches," said Crochet. "I've been watching them on repeat, too. Fox has played them 30 times -- you'd think that the Dodgers won tonight."
Garrett Crochet said he didn’t make any real adjustments after his rough 1st inning, and was annoyed that the @MLBONFOX broadcast kept replaying his “two bad pitches” from the 1st inning:

The national media certainly loves them some Dodgers.
Good for Crochet for getting a little sassy. He threw a gem against the Dodgers (solo home runs aren't a big deal...they just mean a pitcher is in the strike zone and not walking guys). That should've been the focus for Fox, not a couple of first inning home runs by the losing team.
