Former Toronto Blue Jays rookie Spencer Horwitz finally spoke for the first time since being traded to the Cleveland Guardians, which flipped him to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

A little less than two weeks ago, the Blue Jays decided to package Spencer Horwitz with Nick Mitchell for Andres Gimenez and Nick Sandlin from the Cleveland Guardians.

A couple days ago, Horwitz finally delivered a finally message to Blue Jays fans by posting a series of pictures on Instagram thanking the fans, the city and his teammates within the organization.

In an interview this week, Horwitz spoke on the excitement of joining the Pirates and getting to work again with former Blue Jays hitting coach Matt Hague, who had been Horwitz's coach since Double-A.

Horwitz also added how he is excited to be on a team with such incredible pitching, which he says he saw firsthand in the minors with all their young studs on the mound that have now made it to the big leagues, like Paul Skenes.

Hopefully, this trade ends up working out for the Blue Jays as they had to give up one of their best young players in Horwitz, who will likely do well in Pittsburgh this upcoming season.

However, it is not surprise that the Blue Jays traded him, as they had no room for him in the infield.
