We took a step back yesterday, going 1-2 ATS with our MLB Parlay picks. The Braves got demolished by the Philadelphia, with Kyle Schwarber turned into a wrecking ball, and the Mets missed cashing in by a half-run. Thursday’s results drop our season record to 77-60 ATS YTD. Loyal followers know we target games, seeing respected money and, more precisely, reverse line movements. We have three additional selections on tap for you, and some additional leans based solely on the initial line movement. The betting lines discussed are the consensus at Vegas Insider and are subject to change.
Leading off tonight’s MLB parlay will be the New York Yankees’ alternate team total over 4.5 runs. New York’s offense remained in high gear last night, plating 10 runs against Chicago’s pitching staff. The Yankees have now scored 36 runs in the past four games and are averaging 8.3 runs per game in their last five away from Yankee Stadium. The Bronx Bombers are scheduled to face White Sox starter Yoendrys Gomez, who brings a 4.73 ERA into the game. Chicago’s staff has allowed nine runs per game in their last three overall. We look for the Yankees’ bats to stay hot this evening. New York Yankees alternate team total over 4.5 for play number one!
The middle of the lineup features the Chicago Cubs’ alternate team total of 5.5 runs. Chicago is the biggest chalk on the MLB betting slate tonight, playing at Coors Field and playing in the game with an implied game total of 11. We backed off targeting the Colorado Rockies’ pitching staff, but we’re targeting them this evening.
The Rockies as a staff allow six runs per game and 6.1 in the last eight games at home. Tonight, they are set to face German Marquez, who is 3-11 with a 5.67 ERA on the year. In addition, Marquez has allowed nine earned runs across his last nine innings pitched at Coors Field. Chicago Cubs alternate team total over 5.5 for play number two!
In the closer spot of our MLB parlay, we feature the Los Angeles Dodgers team total over 4.5 runs. We stick with today’s trend and finish up with another team total. The Dodgers, similar to the Cubs, are another heavy favorite tonight. They are averaging over five runs per game on the season and have scored at least five runs in four straight games.
Arizona scheduled starter Zach Gallen has pitched better of late, but is still 9-13 with a 5.13 ERA. In his last four road starts, he has a 6.13 ERA across 22 innings pitched. Betting on the Dodgers’ offense is sound to begin with and looks even better tonight. The Los Angeles Dodgers team total over 4.5 runs for play number three!
Additional Leans: Angels ML, Orioles ML
The MLB parlays picks are designed to provide followers with three individual wagers. We will play these SU and then sprinkle some on the parlay. Remember, the hit rate on a three-team parlay is about 6-1, and parlays in general are just not a long-term profitable betting strategy. Hitting the parlay is simply icing on the cake. We try to avoid public plays, which tend to be the betting favorites. Please follow us on X and Facebook as the MLB season continues toward the Fall Classic. Let’s keep our successful MLB season going and get you another three winners. And remember to: Follow or Fade!
