Outfielder Ian Happ hit .218 with 24 home runs, 68 RBIs and 89 runs scored in 156 games for the Chicago Cubs in 2026, his 10th season with the organization.

Away from the field, the veteran outfielder is putting his name behind a November fundraiser. Zarella Chicago announced on Instagram that it is teaming up with Happ and The Happ Foundation to support children and families facing cancer.

$3 from every Happ Special sold in November will be donated directly to the foundation. The money is meant to provide financial and emotional support to families when it matters most. Supporters can learn more about the foundation in the shop’s link in bio.

The Happ Foundation was created after Happ witnessed teammate Anthony Rizzo, a cancer survivor, host events through his own foundation to help families affected by pediatric cancer before Happ started his own.

Happ’s father, Keith, died of brain cancer in October 2015 at age 58. That year, Happ was drafted by the Cubs ninth overall and made his major league debut in May 2017.

The promotion arrives as Happ’s contract situation looms. The 32-year-old is now a free agent following a three-year, $61 million extension he signed in 2023.

Happ has said he does not have any answers about his future with the Cubs. Where he will play in 2027 is yet to be determined. Either way, Happ has established himself as one of Chicago’s most beloved figures since being drafted by the club over a decade ago.
