Kansas City Royals Acquire Frazier from Pittsburgh Pirates

The Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates agreed to a trade this morning that will send infielder/outfielder Adam Frazier to the Kansas City Royals. The Royals are sending 28-year-old infielder Cam Devanney to the Pirates. Frazier, in 78 games this season, is hitting .255 with a .654 OPS. He has ten doubles, three home runs, 21 RBI, 22 runs scored, seven stolen bases, and 17 walks. Devanney in 69 games at Triple-A Omaha, hit .272 with a .931 OPS. He had 14 doubles, two triples, 18 home runs, 55 RBI, 41 runs scored, three stolen bases, and 34 walks.

Adam Frazier

Frazier has appeared in 1,144 career games, hitting .263 with a .709 OPS. He has 190 doubles, 28 triples, 63 home runs, 360 RBI, 490 runs scored, 62 stolen bases, and 299 walks. He was an All-Star in 2021. Frazier played in 104 games for the Royals last season, hitting .202 with a .576 OPS. He had ten doubles, a triple, four home runs, 22 RBI, 35 runs scored, three stolen bases, and 22 walks.

Cam Devanney

The Milwaukee Brewers drafted Devanney in the 15th round of the 2019 MLB Draft. In six minor league seasons between the Brewers and the Royals system, he’s played in 584 games.
