It has been a great week for Kansas City Royals Second Baseman Bobby Witt Jr. He notched his 20th career multi-stolen base game earlier today against the Texas Rangers. On Tuesday, he hit his 100th career home run. Witt Jr. became only the third player in league history to have 100 home runs and 20 multi-stolen base games before playing 600 career games.

Eric Davis accomplished this feat in 459 career games. It took both Hanley Ramirez and Witt Jr. 595 career games. The star Royals player is putting together another strong season. He is in the top 20 in the league in batting average and OPS. Will he keep it going?

Bobby Witt Jr. Career Summary

Witt Jr. has been one of the best players in the league since debuting with the Kansas City Royals in 2022. That season, he finished fourth in Rookie of the Year voting. The best season of his career came last year when he finished second in AL MVP voting, won a Gold Glove, the batting title, and a Silver Slugger. He has also made the all-star team each of the past two seasons.

Final Thoughts

Witt Jr. and the Royals return to the diamond tomorrow when they begin a three-game set on the road against the Detroit Tigers. Kansas City is only two games out of a playoff spot. If they want to make the postseason, the second baseman must continue playing at such a high level.
