ATLANTA – The 2025 MLB All-Star Game was filled with thrills and excitement, including a game-changing moment from Diamondbacks stars Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll.
Ketel Marte made an immediate difference in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, proving why he is one of the most elite hitters in the game. Marte hit a double down the first base line off of the Detroit Tigers’ Tarik Skubal to score Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuña Jr. to give the National League a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Marte left in the fifth inning and went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs.

Corbin Carroll and Eugenio Suárez entered the game in the top of the fifth inning replacing Manny Machado at third base and Kyle Tucker at left field. Suárez had an at-bat in the sixth inning, grounding out to second base but has an incredible grab in the top of the ninth inning to save a hit, as Suárez represented the D-Backs in a hardworking manner.
The bottom of the sixth inning brought more action for the D-Backs trio, as Corbin Carroll smashed a home run to deep right-center field 414 feet, giving the National League a 6-0 lead. Corbin Carroll has now become the first player in the Arizona Diamondbacks franchise history to hit a home run in the MLB All-Star Game.

The D-Backs fans voted for their stars to shine in front of the rest of the league, and were able to watch it happen on an all-star stage. It was all smiles for the National League as they defeated the American League in the first ever, “Swing-Off Competition”, after it ended in a tie with a score of 6-6 at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
