The Los Angeles Dodgers’ offense largely struggled during the 2026 postseason, but one bright spot was Kyle Tucker emerging as the team’s most productive hitter in October.
After underperforming for most of the year, Tucker finally looked like the player the Dodgers expected when they signed him to a record-setting contract before the 2026 season. He hit .333/.419/.519 with two doubles, one home run and two RBI across 31 plate appearances, reaching base safely in all eight of his postseason games.
Tucker’s strong performance earned him a spot on MLB’s All-Postseason Team for position players, receiving the nod in right field.

Unsurprisingly, several players from the World Series-champion Milwaukee Brewers also received spots on MLB’s all-postseason team for position players: William Contreras (catcher), Jake Bauers (first base), Brice Turang (second base), Cooper Pratt (shortstop) and Jackson Chourio (left field) were all included.
The rest of the roster is comprised of San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado, Atlanta Braves center fielder Michael Harris II and New York Yankees designated hitter Ben Rice.
Tucker’s first season with the Dodgers did not go according to plan, but he at least found some success when it mattered most and will now look to build on that momentum in 2027. His turnaround started on Sept. 4, when he crushed a home run on a 99 mph fastball at the top of the strike zone.
The four-time All-Star continued to produce down the stretch, which Dodgers manager Dave Roberts previously attributed to sorting out his swing mechanics. He finished the year batting .233/.330/.385 with 23 doubles, four triples, 17 home runs and 70 RBI in 154 regular-season games.
After the Brewers eliminated the Dodgers in the National League Championship Series, Tucker thanked fans for their support and vowed to come back stronger next season.
The 29-year-old remains an important part of the Dodgers going forward, so he will look to get off to a better start in 2027. Tucker also has something to play for on a personal level, as he could potentially reach free agency by declining a player option. However, that may only be feasible if he can bounce back and have a year that meets his standards.
