Latest on Potential Reds Trade Involving Jonathan India Following Jeimer Candelario Signing

The Reds agreed to terms with infielder Jeimer Candelario to a 3-year, $45 million contract this week. Could a Jonathan India trade be next?

A deal isn't likely according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

"Even after signing Jeimer Candelario for $45 million over three years, the Reds don’t seem to want to trade Jonathan India, who is liked for his leadership," Heyman wrote. "They are, however, stacked with infielders (though he could switch to left field)."

There's no denying that the Reds have plenty of infield depth. Couple that with what President of Baseball Operations Nick Krall has said about India's future and Heyman's report isn't shocking

The Reds are open to trading the former National League Rookie of the Year. They'll pick up the phone and listen to offers. They also aren't desperate to move India.
