Good news on the injury front for Chicago White Sox fans: Lenyn Sosa is on the mend and making moves back to the diamond. Set to begin his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Charlotte Knights this Friday, Sosa's quick turnaround from a right hip flexor strain is a promising sign.

Since landing on the 10-day injured list on June 4, the absence of Sosa's bat and versatility in the infield has been palpable.

"Thank God it’s nothing serious," Sosa remarked optimistically early in his recovery, anticipating a brief hiatus from the game. Despite the challenge, the 25-year-old infielder's eagerness to return to play has underscored his resilience and commitment to the game.

Throughout his fourth season with the Chicago White Sox, Sosa has carved out a niche as an under-the-radar powerhouse, boasting a .274 batting average with four homers and 17 RBIs across 50 games primarily at second base.

The injury, which Sosa sustained on June 2, didn't seem significant at first, but the discomfort escalated, leading to his stint on the injured list.

The White Sox have had to adapt in his absence, with Josh Rojas and Vinny Capra stepping up to fill the void in the middle infield, along with Chase Meidroth.
