ATLANTA – Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte gets the spotlight he’s earned after fans voted him as a National League starter in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, as it was announced he will also be batting third for the NL.
The D-Backs fans truly rallied around Marte by voting him as a starter. Ketel Marte will be in the thick of the action, batting third in a lineup that blends speed, power, and superstar pedigree. Marte will be hitting behind Atlanta Braves’ Ronald Acuña Jr. and Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani, though in front of Ohtani’s teammate, Freddie Freeman. That’s rare air, and a massive sign of respect from Arizona fans and MLB fans around the league.
On the season so far, Marte has a .290 batting average with 19 homers, 40 RBIs, and a .961 OPS. His ability to switch-hit and handle any pitch in any count has made him one of the most reliable hitters in the game, and a perfect fit in this loaded National League order. Marte is getting the recognition he deserves, and his start in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game will be a victory for himself, the D-Backs, and every fan who voted for him.
Ketel Marte batting 3rd in the NL All-Stars lineup is telling…he’s one of the most polished hitters in the game! 19 HR, .961 OPS across 252 ABs. Dave Roberts respect.

The Snakes are used to having stars in the limelight. Marte is now a three-time All-Star and joins Paul Goldschmidt as he becomes a two-time starter for this Diamondbacks franchise. Marte will also be joined by teammates Corbin Carroll and Eugenio Suárez, as they were selected as All-Star reserves. Eugenio Suárez has soared this season with 31 home runs, while Carroll has been a source of stability for Arizona with 21 home runs and 47 RBIs.
