Joel Embiid had his best assist game of his career against Bam Adebayo on Wednesday night, giving us our second straight Look of the Day loss. Let's switch over to MLB for our favorite play of Thursday night's slate.
We're expecting some early fireworks in Thursday night's matchup between the Diamondbacks and the Giants.
Arizona is rolling with right-hander Ryne Nelson, who's struggled against this San Fran lineup. Current Giants hitters are batting .323 and slugging .612 against Nelson in 32 combined plate appearances, per Baseball Savant. San Francisco is also batting .264 with seven home runs and the fifth-best OPS (.774) in the league over the last week.
On the other side, Logan Webb is a tough pitcher to beat, but the D-backs are batting .296 in 138 combined plate appearances against him. Arizona ranks fifth in MLB in runs per game and sixth in on-base percentage to start the season.
Additionally, the wind will be blowing out to left-center field at Oracle Park during the game, which will only help our cause.
