The Reds officially retired their popular Viking helmet home run celebrations. It was something that took the team by storm last season, as they exceeded expectations and were in the playoff race down the stretch.
They retired the Viking helmet celebration in favor of a tunnell celebration inside the dugout.
The Reds are currently 24-32 and 8.5 games out of first place in the National League Central Division. Maybe the new celebration will spark a run this season.

Apparently, the Viking helmet has been retired. Spencer Steer and Luke Maile came up with the idea and the team is embracing it.@JimDayTV | @spenc__er pic.twitter.com/rR1C2MjpDQ
