Los Angeles Dodgers and Left Fielder Teoscar Hernandez agreed to a three-year $66 million deal on Friday night. The deal includes a fourth-year option and includes a signing bonus and deferred money. The deferred money has been a crucial part of the Los Angeles Dodgers playbook as they look to be one of the league’s best teams every year.

Hernandez was an integral part of the Los Angeles Dodgers team which just won the World Series. He hit a career-high 33 home runs during the regular season and was rewarded with a lucrative contract extension. Outfielder Teoscar Hernández and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a three-year, $66 million contract, sources tell ESPN. The deal includes a fourth-year option for $15 million, a little more than $23 million in deferred money and a $23 million signing bonus.

Hernandez joins a Los Angeles Dodgers lineup that is the best in Major League Baseball. He will rejoin a lineup that includes Shohei Ohtani , Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts. Los Angeles had a great lineup during the regular season. They were fourth in batting average, third in home runs, and second in runs scored.

Los Angeles has not rested on their laurels after winning the 2024 World Series. They also signed Tommy Edman and Blake Snell during the MLB Offseason. The Dodgers are looking to be the first repeat World Series champions since the New York Yankees three-peat from 1998-2000.
