Major League Baseball Announces Historic Cubs’ Pete Crow-Armstrong News

The Chicago Cubs have one of the most electric players in baseball on their team in 2025, and he's been taking the baseball world by storm. In the middle of Pete Crow-Armstrong's latest game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Crow-Armstrong made some history, which Major League Baseball shared on social media.

According to MLB and Elias Sports Bureau, Crow-Armstrong, after his home run against the Brewers, tied with other players as the fourth fastest player in MLB history to reach the 20 home run, 20 stolen base milestone.

Reaching 20 home runs, or 20 stolen bases in a season is impressive in it's own right. But, to do both in one season showcases high-end power and speed. For Crow-Armstrong, he reached such a milestone only 73 games into the 2025 season, behind only three players in MLB history.

Those three players are Fernando Tatis Jr. in 2021 at 71 games, Jose Canseco in 1998 in 68 games, and Eric Davis in 1987 in a ridiculous 46 games. While there likely won't be many who have a chance to catch up to Davis's record, Crow-Armstrong's feat is still remarkable.

After a lackluster MLB debut in 2023, and a solid, but not great 2024 season, Crow-Armstrong had a lot of people wondering what he could do in 2025. He's not only surpassed expectations, but he's lapped them.

Crow-Armstrong is in first place among position players in WAR in the NL, and he's putting together a ridiculous power, speed, and defensive season.

Not only is Crow-Armstrong now at 20 home runs and 23 stolen bases on the year, he's also at 13 Outs Above Average, and 12 Fielding Run Value, second and first place in MLB respectively.

Overall, Crow-Armstrong is compiling an incredible season. This latest feat, of reaching 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases fourth fastest in MLB history, is just another chapter in the ongoing story that is Crow-Armstrongs historic breakout season.
