Despite their loss to the Athletics on Tuesday, not all went badly for the Seattle Mariners, who are currently one game ahead of the Texas Rangers for the third AL Wild Card spot.

In the loss, Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena went 1-for-4 at the plate and scored the team's lone run of the game. However, perhaps more notably, the 30-year-old recorded his 20th stolen base of the season.

With this achievement, Arozarena has now officially become the 10th player in MLB history to record 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in five consecutive seasons. Prior to Tuesday's game, Arozarena had already hit 23 home runs on the year.

After getting traded to Seattle by the Tampa Bay Rays over a year ago, Arozarena is currently in the midst of his first full season with the team. So far, things have gone very well for him.

In addition to achieving his latest milestone, the Cuban native also became an All-Star for the second time in his career and the first time since 2023. Through 106 games with the Mariners to this point, Arozarena is batting .247 with an OPS of .813. He has also recorded 52 RBIs and has a 3.7 WAR, which is the third-best on the team.

As Seattle looks to finish the season on a high note and return to the playoffs for the first time since 2022, they will continue to rely on Arozarena, who has not let the team down during his one-year tenure so far.
