MGM releases betting odds for World Series, where do the Arizona Diamondbacks stand?

The Arizona Diamondbacks will open the 2025 MLB season at +3000 odds to become the 2025 World Series Champion, per MGM. They landed in the top 10, though it will be the last spot behind nine other teams. The teams with higher odds than the D-Backs are shown below here:

Well, well, well.. and wouldn’t ya know it, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the overwhelming favorite to repeat as World Series Champions at +240 odds. Seems like the MGM oddsmakers believe that Shohei Ohtani and company will be popping the bottles of champagne again. The way everybody else is also getting behind them, kind of seems like MGM and others are claiming it is looking like a done deal. Enough said. See ya next year. If it only were that easy, right?

Another graphic released by MGM shows Corbin Burnes has the 6th lowest odds at +1500 to lead the league in MLB wins in 2025. Corbin Burnes who joined the Diamondbacks earlier this year on a $210 million, six-year deal, will look to add some more hardware to his trophy case. Whether its leading the league in wins, a Cy-Young award, or hopefully holding up the Commissioner’s Trophy, Corbin Burnes looks to be on the radar as a top pitcher in this league, and it’s nice to have weapons that others see as valuable.

No, you wont get a cheesy, “know when to hold ’em or fold ’em”, reference out of me. That’s just not good enough. I’ll leave you with a lyric from one of my favorite Jerry Garcia songs, “Deal.”

Since it costs a lot to win,
and even more to lose..
You and me bound to spend some time,
wondering what to choose.
