Another day, another win for the seemingly unstoppable Milwaukee Brewers, as they extended their incredible win streak to 13 games with a thrilling 10-8 win Friday night at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati versus the Cincinnati Reds.

However, it did not start all that well for the Brewers. With rookie Jacob Misiorowski making his first start just hours after getting activated from the injured list, the Brewers found themselves trailing early. Misiorowski did not make it past the second inning, as he was taken off the mound after allowing five earned runs on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings of work.

Fortunately for the Brewers, their bats came to the rescue, as Milwaukee erased a seven-run deficit in the second inning by scoring the final nine runs of the contest.

Misiorowski landed on the injured list in early August due to a left tibia contusion. Before that, he went 4-1 with a 2.70 ERA through seven starts in the 2025 MLB season.

Fans question Milwaukee Brewers’ decision on Misiorowski

Although the Brewers got the win, they faced criticism from the fans early on in the contest, particularly because of their decision to let Misiorowski start without getting at least a stint in the minors for some rehab work.

“He should have just rehabbed at AAA like any other pitcher would. I don’t get the theory of doing it in a major league game,” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “Why didn’t we have him do a rehab start?”

From a commenter: “Seems like a rehab start could have helped.”

“It’s about time they pulled him he should have never even started he needed a rehab start he’s not a season vet just to go in there and Pitch like that without a start at AAA,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “Should have had him do a rehab.”

The Brewers will look to keep it going this Saturday, when they give the ball to Quinn Priester in the second game of the Reds series.
